Crave App LLC ("Crave," "we," "our," or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the Crave mobile application and related services (the "App"). By using Crave, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect limited personal data to operate and improve the App.
a. Account Information
- Email address (used for authentication via Supabase)
- Optional display name
b. Food and Activity Data
- Foods logged, portion sizes, and daily nutrition summaries
- Photos you upload or capture for food recognition
c. Device and App Usage Data
- App interactions, feature usage, error logs
- Device model, operating system, and performance metrics
d. Purchase and Subscription Data
- Transaction IDs, product type, and subscription status
- Payments are processed by Apple App Store; Crave does not store card or billing data
2. How We Use Your Information
We use data to:
- Provide and personalize app functionality
- Authenticate users and sync data through Supabase
- Identify foods and estimate nutrition values
- Improve reliability and fix bugs
- Communicate support or service messages
- Comply with legal obligations and prevent misuse
We do not sell or rent personal data.

We may disclose data if required by law or to protect our rights.
4. Data Retention and Deletion
- Account and log data persist while your account is active.
- Recognition images are not stored after processing.
- Deleting your account removes all personal data within 30 days.
5. Your Choices and Controls
- Access / Correction: View or update data in the App.
- Deletion: Delete your account in Settings → Delete Account.
- Analytics Opt-Out: Disable app analytics in device privacy settings.

6. Health and Nutrition Information
Crave provides estimated nutrition data for general wellness only. Values (including added sugar estimates) are approximate and may vary. Crave does not provide medical or dietary advice. Consult a qualified professional before making health decisions.
7. Security
We apply industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and secure cloud storage. No system is completely secure; use the App at your own discretion.
8. Automated Processing and AI Transparency
Crave may use automated tools to analyze user-provided inputs and estimate nutrition data. These tools do not make individual decisions about users, store biometric information, or reuse personal images. All processing is transient and limited to delivering core app features.
9. International Transfers
Crave App LLC is based in the United States. By using the App, you consent to your data being transferred to and processed in the U.S., where privacy laws may differ from your region.
10. Regional Privacy Rights (GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA/CPRA)
Residents of the European Union, United Kingdom, and California have specific data rights.
Your Rights
You may request to:
- Access the data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your personal data ("right to be forgotten")
- Restrict or object to certain processing
- Receive your data in portable format
- Opt out of any sale or sharing of data (we do not sell data)

How to Exercise
Email privacy@trycrave.app with your name and account email. We may verify your identity before acting. We aim to respond within 30 days.
Authorized Agents (California)
You may authorize someone to submit a request on your behalf; we will verify their authority and your identity.
Supervisory Authorities (EU / UK)
EU or UK users may lodge a complaint with their local Data Protection Authority, but we encourage you to contact us first.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The "Last Updated" date shows the latest version. Significant changes will be announced in-app or on our website.
